ROOM WITH A VIEW

APPARTMENT

Graziosi Progetti realised a stylish and personal interior for a private client, where inside and outside are in complete harmony with each other.

The clients asked Graziosi Progetti to design the interior of their new apartment, which has a full view of the beautiful surrounding landscape. The new construction project was not yet completed, so there was ample opportunity to think about the perfect layout for the apartment.

For an optimal experience of the space and the view, Graziosi Progetti removed some of the walls. To mark the transitions between the different functions, subtle lowering of the ceilings and different floor materials were used. For example, the ceramic tiled floor in the living room changes to a stylish parquet floor in the dining area. By eliminating the corridor zone, an extra spacious living space was created. Thanks to the sliding glass door, it extends to the balcony, with an idyllic view of water and trees.

The signature of Graziosi Progetti can be recognised by the use of high-quality materials, pronounced colors and the integration of art in the interior.

The Yves Klein blue wall in the living room forms a striking anchor point in the room, and at the same time establishes a connection with the blue in the art collection of the clients. The tapestry wall with its lush botancal motifs subtly guides the eye from the interior to the natural environment outside.

The kitchen is connected to the living space, with the sleek black cooking island marking the transition between the two zones. Graziosi Progetti visually created more space in the kitchen by integrating a mirror in the rear wall. For a calmer image, ceiling-high sliding doors can hide this wall with built-in appliances if desired.

Extra warmth has been added by using afzelia wood, both in the kitchen and for the pivot doors in the dining area; this also brings unity. The office adjacent to the dining room can be closed off by means of three pivoting doors. This office can also function as an extra guest room, thanks to a fold-up bed in the custom-made cupboard.

The utmost care has also been devoted to the interior of the two bedrooms with accompanying bathrooms. In the particularly spacious master bedroom, a lot of wood has been used, both for the wall that hides the dressing room and for the floor. The parquet partly continues into the en-suite bathroom, to transition seamlessly into a ceramic floor.

High-quality materials such as marble and brass and an abundance of daylight give this bathroom the appearance of a luxurious spa.

By coordinating materials, colours, shapes in detail and closely involving the clients in the design process, a timeless and personal interior has been created that fully meets their wishes.
